We are the Centre of Urban Information Quito, CIUQ! Our purpose is to provide comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date georeferenced information to support and improve decision-making for urban sustainability and social equity. With this purpose we also promote collaborative research on topics that generate a more humane and resilient city.

Through our geoportal, we communicate relevant information about our city and territory in a GIS environment at different special scales. Our intended audience includes planners in government and non-government organizations, the private sector, the higher education sector and the wider urban community.

The Quito Urban Information Center supports partner universities by developing thesis projects for both undergraduate and graduate students.
