STRATEGIC ALLIANCES
The Quito Urban Information Center is allways encouraging collaborative research. We combine the knowledge of institutions and professionals to obtain new data and, with each research, we develop new and better collaborative methodologies.

We have a multidisciplinary team of experts from different scientific areas, such as: Architecture, Urbanism, Geomatics, Biogeography, Gender, Sociology, Risk, Economics, Econometrics, Geostatistics, Data Analysis, and many more.
Tomorrow’s Cities is a project that seeks to generate resilient cities to Multi-Hazard Scenarios and Dynamic Risk through to the involvement of key actors, both from the public and private sectors, and from the communities. This involvement will allow a sustainable urban development. The alliance between Tomorrow's Cities and CIUQ looks for mutual cooperation and exchange of information. This alliance will provide scientific support to carry out studies that lead to reduce the risk of disasters due to natural hazards in cities, as well as generating new city indicators.
The Armed Forces University -ESPE- through the degree of Engineering in Geospatial Technologies, generates and interprets geospatial information in order to use it to solve problems related to planning, land use planning, risk management, natural resource management , and especially in Geospatial Data Management. Through its connection with society program, it generates and promotes projects and research to improve the life quality of the population through social interest projects. The alliance ESPE - CIUQ will allow  us to incorporate technological aspects in our researchs.
ESPE
The Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences, through its Master's Degree in Urban Studies, promotes the training of researchers with scientific knowledge in the field of territorial planning and in the formulation of public policies, in order to improve the life quality of the people in the city. Its alliance with the CIUQ strengthens the research networks in urban studies that allow understanding and explaining the problems of cities from a multidimensional and multiactor perspective.
FLACSO
The FPPA is the regionalized Pan-American organization that formally brings together the architects of all the American countries under a concept of integration, through mutual knowledge and mutual aid. The alliance with CIUQ will allow us to establish an effective link, for professional and scientific purposes, between all the Architects of America and the world to enrich our research with professionals in architecture and urban planning with extensive national and international experience.
FPAA
PLURAL is an organization dedicated to applied social research and socio-cultural studies, development of psychosocial intervention projects and construction of public policy, with emphasis on human rights issues, gender mainstreaming and comprehensive approach to violence against women, gender, social participation and sustainable development. We have an interdisciplinary team that applies these approaches in a in a variety of projects  in fields like education, public health, mobility, and cities and the environment. The alliance with CIUQ will allow us to have a gender perspective and community participation in our research.
WWF is one of the largest international nature conservation organizations with offices in more than 80 countries around the world. In Ecuador, it focuses on three strategic and complementary lines of action, in order to work towards a more inclusive, safe and healthy future for Ecuadorians
I) responsible markets and sustainable local livelihoods
II) conservation of species and ecosystems
III) mobilization of society in favor of sustainability.

The Alliance with CIUQ, will allow the development of studies and the generation of information for the conservation of urban biodiversity and the sustainability of the Quito, in the context of actions to face climate change.
Alianzas estratégicas
The Secretaría De Territorio, Hábitat y Vivienda (STHV) of the Municipality of Quito, defines public policies on territorial planning, habitat and housing. It plans and manages the territorial development of the DMQ. The alliance between the STHV and the CIUQ implements inter-institutional cooperation that generates new knowledge, as well as publications and promotion of the benefits of the use of information to citizens. This alliance supports and promote new research through new technologies for the management of geographic information.

Universidades aliadas al CIUQ
The alliances with several universities promote and ensure academic cooperation and technical advice in urban development. They also propose programs and projects in different areas, such as social, economic, educational and research. The goal is to generate local and national impact. This alliances seek to develop methodologies, and find better alternatives for care for people related to this institutions.
The bases of cooperation between the two institutions have been established to do activities, programs and projects in different areas that gives benefits their respective partners. This partnership promote services provided by both institutions and find better alternatives for attention to citizens and social groups in which they have an impact.
