WE ARE CIUQ!
The Quito Urban Information Center CIUQ is an initiative of the Pichincha Architects´ College that informs the community about the results of investigations concerning city problems that can be expressed as georeferenced data.
We project ourselves as an organization that transmits knowledge and experiences through research in areas such as: urban-spatial planning, landscaping, climate change in cities, territory, environment, architectural heritage, and other related sciences.
Through our geo-portal, we share geo-referenced information in the public domain, as well as information generated by our own research and information that comes from research carried out together with our collaborators.
Our geoportal is designed to store, manage and analyze urban data to generate reliable and up-to-date urban information products to promote socially and environmentally responsible urban development. A centralized and standardized geographic information system enables easy data access, visualization and management for customized urban information products. The CIUQ geographic database and geographic information system integrates highly comprehensive and up-to-date data related to urban development and sustainability and can serve a wide range of user interests in the public and private sectors, research institutions, and internationally. and non-governmental organizations.
